about US

We connect and empower faith communities and individuals to work for the common good and a life of dignity for everyone.  We advocate for change so that all individuals and families can thrive socially, prosper economically, and participate fully in civil society. We intentionally build bridges across faith communities and draw on the collective wisdom, courage, and strength of our various faith traditions.
WHO WE ARE
Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice is an interfaith education and advocacy organization dedicated to creating a more just and equitable society for all. We are social justice committees, organizations, non-believers, supporters, congregations, activists, and religious leaders from many faith traditions from all over the state of Wisconsin.

WHAT WE DO
We cross religious, cultural, and political boundaries to bring about awareness, educate, and advocate for systemic changes that address the root causes of poverty, racial inequities, and social injustice in our state.

WHEN WE BEGAN
We began as Concerned Religious Leaders of Wisconsin in 2011. We officially became Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice in 2012, and obtained 501c3 non-profit status in 2017.

WHY WE DO IT
We believe it is our duty to ensure the state upholds human dignity and meets the needs of ALL who live here.

HOW WE DO IT

We are a coalition that depends on moral, logistical, and financial support from the wider community. Your tax-deductible donation allows us to lift all voices and work for a more just and compassionate society through advocacy, education, and partnerships.

our mission

The mission of Wisconsin Faith Voices for Justice is to connect and empower faith communities and individuals to work for the common good and a life of dignity for everyone.  We advocate for change so that all individuals and families can thrive socially, prosper economically, and participate fully in civil society. We intentionally build bridges across faith communities and draw on the collective wisdom, courage, and strength of our various faith traditions.

WE REMEMBER MATTHEW S. NICGORSKI
We were shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our Board member and treasurer, Matt Nicgorski, on December 3, 2021.
Picture
Matt joined our board three years ago as our treasurer. Matt was a CPA and he wanted to learn more about non-profit accounting and was looking for an organization that lined up with his values. He threw himself into our work with energy and enthusiasm.  He was unfailingly kind, patient, generous with his time and expertise.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We send our deepest sympathies to his family.
