DACA Advocacy Day - January 25, 2024
The Lutheran Office for Public Policy in Wisconsin is sponsoring a day of advocacy on January 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to urge our Wisconsin legislature to pass four bills that will help Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to:

- Receive professional licenses to be teachers, nurses, electricians, plumbers, etc.
- Pay in-state tuition if they have lived in Wisconsin at least 12 months prior to the semester and are DACA recipients.
- Receive a tax credit to help defray the cost of renewing their DACA status every two years.
- Become police officers and sheriff’s deputies.
