WISCONSIN INTERFAITH VOTER ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN STATEMENT ON THE INSURRECTION AT THE CAPITOL

On January 6, armed insurrectionists surged into the Capitol building in an attempt to overturn by force the lawful election of Nov. 3. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of those who lost their lives during the attack on the Capitol. We support every American’s right to peaceful protest.  However, this was not a protest, but a violent and dangerous attack on our democracy. We invite YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR POPULAR SACRED SITE VISITS AND INTERFAITH FELLOWSHIP—VIRTUALLY.

Picture
The Sacred Site Visits provide opportunities for participants to visit (virtually for now) houses of worship from a wide variety of faith traditions over the course of the year. The purpose of the “visits” is to learn about different faiths, and to build interfaith friendships.  The visits will occur once a month or so, beginning in February 2021.
